Back in December 2020, the 10th edition of the India Online Poker Championship was announced. 17 days, over a 100 tournaments and a total prize pool of INR 28 Crores!
The tournament was played out from 14th-31st January on the online felts of Spartan Poker as usual.
With insanely high guarantees every other day and the incredible INR 3.5 Crores GTD Main Event awaiting the players, IOPC on Spartan Poker was bound to be a hit! We saw some exciting and mind-boggling poker action from the players over the last couple of weeks and now it is time to put it all in perspective and have a look back at everything that went down at the India Online Poker Championship 2021!
Sriharsha Doddapaneni Completes The Incredible Double
On January 21, the massive INR 1 Crore GTD IOPC #52 Highroller took place. The tournament received a total of 186 entries at a hefty price of INR 55,000! It took 8 hours of play for the players to reach the final table! Sriharsha ‘potatoplayer’ Doddapaneni entered the final table of the Highroller as the chip leader and ended up shipping the massive event after cutting a deal with his friend and fellow poker pro, Shardul ‘FaucetFailure’ Parthasarathi. Sriharsha earned the better part of the deal and won himself a payout of INR 21.5 Lakhs!

A week later, Sriharsha found himself playing another final table. This time, it was the IOPC Super Highroller INR 1.25 Crore GTD! Sriharsha wrote his name down in Indian poker folklore once again as he ended up shipping the Super Highroller as well!
At heads-up once again, Sriharsha quickly ended up cutting a deal with young gun, Arsh Grover and ended up taking the bigger chunk of the payout for INR 33.92 Lakhs! This completed the insane Double of winning the Highroller as well as the Super Highroller. A feat that has never been achieved before in the Indian poker scene! We really do not have any words to describe what we have witnessed.

Shrey Maheshwary Takes Down The PLO Highroller Title
On January 30, the IOPC #110 PLO Highroller INR 50 Lakh GTD took place. A lengthy 8 hour grind got us down to the final 6 players that resumed play the next day. Shrey Maheshwary was the chip leader going into the final table. Although he did lose the chip lead a couple of times, he was able to regain the advantage quickly and eventually went on to take down the massive guarantee, earning himself a payout of INR 11.8 Lakhs! Heads-up began with a huge chip lead for Shrey. Roopesh ‘StillDrawing’ Maheshwari did make it a bit difficult for Shrey, but ‘oohmaahaa’ was having none of it and didn’t give the comeback a chance!

Aniket Waghmare Ships The IOPC Millionaire Legends
On January 24, the Day 2 of the IOPC #73 Millionaire Legends INR 1.75 Crore GTD was played out. A total of 770 entries registered for the tournaments at a hefty buy-in of INR 27,500! Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved entered the final table as the chip leader and everyone fully expected him to take it down! But it wasn’t meant to be. It was a pretty quick final table and finished in just under 50 minutes!

Aniket ‘Ntwadumela’ Waghmare took down a massive pot against runner-up Ashish ‘Donkey07’ Munot with three players left and thereon started putting pressure on the remaining stacks which weren’t able to contain against the pressure and Aniket Waghmare ended up taking the massive event down for a payout of INR 36.3 Lakhs! This was Aniket’s biggest win ever. His previous highest cash was INR 9 Lakhs and he has now won a payout 4 times his previous best!

Bhanu Prakash Makes History. Tops The IOPC LDB For The 2nd Time
One of the most historic and record breaking poker series the 10th edition of the IOPC has been. First, Sriharsha Doddapaneni ended up taking down the Highroller as well the Super Highroller titles. Later, Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakash became the first person to top the IOPC Leaderboard for the second time!
Bhanu Prakash scored a total of 13,262 points by cashing 81 events. A mind boggling and humbling total. He earned the lucrative top spot on the leaderboard worth INR 30,00,000! This is the second time Bhanu has topped the IOPC Leaderboard with the first one being in the July 2020 edition!

31st January was the final day of the 10th Edition of the India Online Poker Championship. The final day of the series means only one thing. It’s time for the Main Event! The IOPC Main Event The Crown INR 3.5 Crores GTD Day 2 took place on 31st January. Nearly 4,000 entries took place in the massive multi-flight event. 696 players were paid but only the final 6 took home the biggest chunk of the INR 3.98 Crores prize pool! Laksh Pal Singh became Event champion after beating Avjit Jaiswal heads-up on the final table!
Lakshpal ‘LuckyBhai$’ Singh won the massive top prize of INR 51.8 Lakhs and also took home the 18K Gold Badge, a diamond studded gold crown apart from this massive prize money!
